Q: Can I learn to play the bass or guitar online?
A: With a connection to the internet and a good teacher you can learn bass or guitar in no-time!

Q: Can you teach yourself bass or guitar?
A: As opposed to most online courses and videos on YouTube that will lead you down the “rabbit-hole”, having an experienced teacher that you can ask engage with in real time will enhance your experience and allow you to express yourself more freely in your music quicker.

Q: When you say bass you of course mean…?
A: Double (Acoustic, Upright) Bass and Electric Bass Guitar are the two instruments I teach. Each has various different ways they can be played and a vast array of genres that they can fit into. Some examples include:
1. Double Bass is primarily played with a bow, or pizzicato (“plucking” the strings) in many genres including:
Jazz, Classical, Bluegrass, Folk, Rock, Country, and Contemporary music.
2. Electric Bass Guitar can be played with the fingers, a pick, tapping, or slapping and plucking the strings. The Electric Bass is plugged into an amplifier with a 1/4” cable in order to produce a sound. You will need and amplifier as well an electric bass guitar to make the magic happen! The Electric Bass is in almost all forms of modern music including:
Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Country, Metal, Gospel, Electronic, Funk, and many many more!

Q: How much do private online bass lessons cost?
A: Remote or online bass lessons are very affordable and much more convenient than in-person lessons. Since various costs such as transportation and rental fees are no longer a factor, an even greater experience is available for less. You also have flexibility in the length of your lesson whether it’s 30 minutes ($35) or 60 minutes ($65) in order to fit your budget. Q: Why should I choose to have remote bass lessons?
A: There are many reasons that people enjoy remote bass lessons and there are many factors that inhibit people from signing up for lessons in the first place that are remedied through online bass lessons.

Advantages of remote bass lessons include, but are not limited to:
1. Access to personal equipment (rather than what’s “on-site”, you get to play your own instrument and gear)
2. Access to sound recordings and sheet music libraries (screen sharing helps with analysis and understanding)
3. Flexibility in scheduling. You are able to plan for lessons on your own time, and are more likely to participate without the extra step of getting yourself and your instrument to a physical location.
